We recently launched a student only app on iOS and Android which gives students a platform to buy and sell services. Students can choose from an additional income or cheaper services whilst at Uni or College.

The app is only available to students in Manchester whilst we fine tune our product and prove the concept. Our plan is to expand to every other student city in the UK and become the go-to tool for earning extra cash as a student.

Please download the app from either App Store to take a look, or alternatively visit our website at www.unidosh.com

YellowLabel

@yellowlabeltech

Each year in the UK, over 200,000 tonnes of food is collectively wasted by supermarkets. Food waste reduction has been made a core KPI by the major supermarket retailers, who are seeking solutions to address this challenge.

YellowLabel is an innovative mobile app aiming to become the first commercial solution to in-store supermarket food waste. YellowLabel allows stores to market reduced-to-clear ‘Yellow Label’ items to a relevant local app userbase. Using Geolocation, users can see all stores in their vicinity. They can click a store pin, and view all discounted items available, from the convenience of their phone. This allows users to compare discount offerings across stores, and make a more informed, or impulsive, shopping decision – that can help them save money. Localised marketing better enables the sale of yellow label items, which in turn assists the stores in reducing waste.

By integrating with stores through APIs, YellowLabel can provide a live flow of data, allowing users to immediately be notified when items become discounted.

Our mission is to help stores prevent food waste, increase profits by driving user foot traffic; and to help users shop smarter. Furthermore, through data science and machine learning, we want to help retailers enhance markdown optimisation and better understand their shoppers.

YellowLabel have had sound traction over the past year. We first tested the concept via a Facebook service. We then beta tested with Leeds city centre stores. We are now at the early stages of a collaborative relationship with a leading UK supermarket retailer.

Moving forward, we aim to trial YellowLabel with supermarkets and scale the service. We are continuously advancing our technological capabilities, and by doing so we hope to make a positive impact on the supermarket shopping experience.
